Everton Ridge Homes is proud to call beautiful Vernon, BC our home, and the home of each of our wonderful clients at Turtle Mountain, Adventure Bay and Upper Seasons. Vernon is a bustling city located in the North Okanagan, surrounded by natural beauty and a variety of activities to indulge in. Those lucky to call Vernon home enjoy summers at the nearby lakes, winters at the ski hill and spend their free time perusing downtown shops and visiting local attractions.

Everywhere you turn in Vernon, there is something to see, to do and to enjoy.

The Lakes

Vernon is surrounded by spectacular lakes, including Okanagan Lake, Swan Lake and Kalamalka Lake. Residents spend many summer days at local beaches, boating or paddle boarding on these gorgeous lakes. Kalamalka Lake is well-known for its colouring, touted as the “lake of a thousand colours”, while Okanagan Lake connects Vernon to the Central and South Okanagan.

Each community that Everton Ridge Homes builds in is within a 10-minute drive of all three lakes and each has fabulous views of one of the local lakes.

Silver Star Mountain Resort

Another attraction that Vernon locals are lucky to have access to is Silver Star Mountain Resort. The ski hill and resort is under an hour drive from downtown Vernon and offers locals a variety of fun activities year-round.

In the winter months, you can head up to the hill for a day of skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and more. In the summer, the hill becomes a hot spot for biking and hiking.

Local Attractions

The city of Vernon is full of history, and there are many local attractions that celebrate that history. From extraordinary murals painted on the buildings of downtown Vernon, to Historic O’Keefe Ranch and Davison Orchards Country Village, there are many fun activities for families to enjoy and experience.

For those who enjoy shopping, downtown Vernon is home to a collection of local shops and in the north end of the city is the Village Green Shopping Centre, where you can find major retailers including Canadian Tire, Winners, Hudson’s Bay and more.

Dining

Vernon home owners need not worry when they have an empty pantry; there are plenty of fantastic dining options to choose from in the city. Many local restaurants and eateries serve up dishes made from locally grown ingredients and offer locally produced craft beverages.
